The Oyster Dome Hike is an amazing outdoor adventure in the PNW, have you hiked it?

A few months ago, a friend and I hiked Oyster Dome in Burlington, WA. This hike is definitely a "must do" in my book and I would love to do it again. There are so many reason why I love this hike (take a look below). I will also give you my tips & tricks for this hike!
I love the Oyster Dome Hike because:
It has an amazing view at the top (and a long the trail)! I mean come on, it's all about that view after all the hard work you put in, right?
There was a lot of site seeing and different activities you can do a long the trail. Keeps it interesting every step of the way!
The trail is marked super well making it easy to stay on course and know where to go.
This is a great trail for a small or big group. (I also saw solo hikers... I would never do that but others are doing it.)
The trail is marked as "moderate" based on the AllTrails app that I use. I would say this hike is on the harder end of the "moderate" scale compared to other "moderate" hikes I have done and was definitely a good workout. I love a good workout during my outdoor adventures! My heart rate was up the entire time as we climbed the 1,965 ft elevation and every muscle was engaged. My Apple Watch said I burned at least 1,200 calories during this hike, I was tired once we finished, and I was sore the next day. Beautiful views, great trail, being outdoors, and getting a workout in... I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT ALL THAT!
Did I mention the view is AMAZING?? haha It's worth every bit of hard work you put in.

My Tips & Tricks:
Educate your self about this trail before going. I use the AllTrails app (and know there are a lot of other tools to use) which shows you all the details about this hike, allows you to track your course while you're hiking, shows you the direction to go (even tho this trail is marked really well, it might come in handy), shows you pictures, and oh so much more. I love using this app to plan the hikes I want to go on, find new hikes, and stay on course while hiking.
Start the hike earlier in the day, it took us about 4-5 hours to do.
Bring lots of water because you are working hard every step of the way.
Have good supportive shoes, it's quite an elevation gain and drop!
Go with a friend or group, it's always fun to spend quality time with our people, am I right?
Bring food, there are so many great view points and places to sit and take a break...perfect to have a snack or a picnic! :)
HAVE FUN!!!
That's it for now, let me know if you have any questions!! Excited to share more hikes I have done and will do in the future. Let me know if you have any recommendations. Now let's go find our next outdoor adventure and stop and smell the roses a long the way!! :)
